Selon l'OFLC, équivalent australien du PEGi, 2K Games prévoit de lancer Borderlands 2 Expansion Pack. Ce pack d'extension serait ainsi proposé en magasins, et intégreraient tous les DLC du jeu ("Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" et "Mister Torgue's Campaign of Carnage").
